Old is gold, wouldn’t you agree? Several yesteryear gems from the era gone by while some got their penny‎’s worth, the others lost their due credit as filmmakers competed with other contemporaries. In case you’re feeling nostalgic and would like to relive the classics, here’s a list for you to binge on whenever and wherever you’d like!

The Parent Trap:

Yes you read that right! We’re stocked with the first one starring Hayley Mills. A Disney classic and a must-watch especially for those looking to relive their childhood days! Two identical twins Susan and Sharon are separated at birth where one stays with the mother and the other stays with the father. After a chance meeting at a summer camp, the duo hatches a plan to reunite their estranged parents!

Street Fighter:

The 1994 action film featuring popular action star Jean-Claude Van Damme and Raul Julia. Follow the efforts of Colonel Guile to bring down Colonel Bison, a drug kingpin whose dream is to run the world with the help of genetically enhanced super soldiers. On those dreary days when the video game console won’t light up, get set for an action ride with the Street Fighter!

The Karate Kid II:

The 1986 action caper and a sequel to Karate Kid, martial arts enthusiasts must binge on this one! Reprising their roles, Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita, The Karate Kid Part II follows Daniel LaRusso (Macchio), who accompanies his karate teacher Mr. Miyagi (Morita) to Okinawa to help his dying father. While Daniel finds love, Mr. Miyagi must confront an old enemy!

The Karate Kid III:

The third part in The Karate Kid franchise, this time there’s Terry Silver played by Thomas Ian Griffith. He’s tall, he’s rich, he’s athletic, he’s stronger than ever and burning to seek revenge against Daniel and Mr. Miyagi for embarrassing him in the first movie!

Con Air:

Starring Nicolas Cage in this daredevil action thriller, Cameron is sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment. Now out on parole, he is returning home to his dear wife and daughter but as fate would have it, his plane is hijacked by the most convoluted criminals ever! Also, a highly decorated army ranger, Cameron must save himself and the other passengers aboard the plane!

Good Fellas:

Touted as Martin Scorsese’s finest work and a cult classic, Good Fellas takes a wide-eyed view at the mob culture of New York. Starring Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, and Joe Pesci, Roy begins his journey from a petty criminal to a drug lord in the grisly streets of New York at the cost of his family and drugs, leaving behind a dirty contemptuous path in his wake.

Girl, Interrupted:

Angelina Jolie won the Oscar for her outstanding performance in Girl, Interrupted. Based on writer Susanna Kaysen’s account of her 18-month stay at a mental hospital in the late 1960’s, a deeply troubled child is transferred to a mental institution after an attempt at taking her own life. She befriends other women at the facility that leave a profound impact on her life.

The Incredible Journey:

Another timeless Disney gem that follows the arduous journey of three pets – aging bull terrier Bodger, spry Labrador retriever Luath, and Siamese cat Tao. The trio is left by their owner at a friend’s family home for the summer. Terribly lonely, the three set off on their own even if it’s 250 miles away!
