The ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor makes his long-awaited return to the UFC in the brand-new season of the iconic series, The Ultimate Fighter starting Wednesday 31st May.
This season could be the biggest in the show’s history, with McGregor, the former UFC Featherweight and Lightweight Champion, going head-to-head with Michael ‘Iron’ Chandler as coaches. The Ultimate Fighter: Team McGregor vs Team Chandler features a cast of returning UFC veterans and up-and-coming talents, all fighting for a dream contract with the UFC.
Former UFC double champion McGregor, considered by many the sport’s biggest star, returns to The Ultimate Fighter, after previously serving as a coach on TUF 22 and will look to pass on the experience and skill set that took him on a rapid rise and dominance in UFC beating the likes of Jose Aldo, Eddie Alverez and Nate Diaz. Not only will McGregor want to beat Chandler as coach but also use this to build momentum towards their inevitable fight later in 2023.
Michael Chandler is a fan favorite, with his dynamic fighting style and personality and stunning stoppages over Dan Hooker and Tony Ferguson. He now plans on beating McGregor as coach and then defeating him in the Octagon.
The Ultimate Fighter is must-see TV for all sports fans and the iconic reality series has launched the careers of some UFC Greats, including Kamaru Usman, Rashid Evans, Nate Diaz, Rose Namajunas, Uriah Hall, and many more.
The Ultimate Fighter: Team McGregor vs Team Chandler is a 12-part series starting on Wednesday 31st May with a brand-new episode every Wednesday (same day as the US) showing on UFC Arabia via STARZPLAY.
