Edgier and tougher, season 2 promises to be a whole lot more entertaining for the viewers and that much more challenging for the contestants.
The first season comprising 10 episodes was aired earlier in the year on STARZPLAY to a stellar response by the subscribers. Hosted and created by the legendary WWE wrestler and one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood, Dwayne Johnson, the series is an athletic game show featuring participants from all walks of life. From a teacher, a Wall Street Journal executive to a firefighter who is also a grandmother, participants enrol themselves in a competition that puts all their physical and mental capabilities to test through gruelling death-defying tests.
In the words of the mighty Rock, “I wanted to create the most epic and insane athletic competition ever devised”, where each task has been inspired by the ace wrestler’s workout regime. The second season has expanded its radius with regional rounds held in East, West and Central America to spice up the competition. The winning male and female candidates will then compete against pro-titans handpicked by The Rock itself in the finale Mount Olympus round tackling hardcore obstacles along the way.
